Control Arm Bushing Hack — No Disassembly Needed • Today in the shop — a second-generation Audi Q7. The customer complained about squeaking noises coming from the front suspension while driving. After a thorough inspection, we found the cause: torn upper control arm bushings. Interestingly, the ball joints themselves are in great condition — the issue is in the bushing area where the control arm mounts to the body. The rubber has separated and is rubbing inside the bushing, causing the squeaks.
