Biography: Lyndon B. Johnson

On this day in 1964, President Lyndon B. Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act. The law prohibited discrimination based on race, color, sex, religion, and national origin. It also desegregated public facilities and schools. This landmark bill made great strides, but we all know that there is still work to be done, especially now.
