Radar Update 8/23 2 PM MDT: High based showers and storms are developing over the higher terrain and moving eastward. Coverage should be isolated to scattered. Numerous showers and scattered thunderstorms continue to move east across much of north central and northeastern Colorado. At 3:50 pm, the strongest storms were located over Lincoln County with another area of storms across northeastern Weld County. Most areas will receive light to moderate rainfall with brief heavy rain, small hail, wind gusts to 50 mph and dangerous cloud to ground lightning possible with the stronger storms. | US National Weather Service Denver/Boulder Colorado
