The Mithi River (Pronunciation: [miʈʰiː]) is a river on Salsette Island, the island of the city of Mumbai, India. It is a confluence of tail-water discharges of the Powai and Vihar lakes. The river is seasonal and rises during the monsoons.

After the Mumbai floods of 2005, Mithi River Development and Protection Authority (MRDPA) was formed to restore Mithi river and rehabilitate people living on its bank. After spending over 12 billion rupees in the beautification and restoration, the state of the river has hardly changed.
