Shedeur Sanders will finally get the reps he deserves. According to Cleveland.com's Mary Kay Cabot, the former Colorado quarterback will start the first preseason game vs the Carolina Panthers

As for the Panthers, this is a big third year for former No.1 overall pick Bryce Young. In his second year in the same system with Dave Canales, the Panthers are hoping Young can take a leap. They added rookie wideout Tetairoa McMillan to make Young’s life easier as well.

A big reason this game is so intriguing is because it will mark the NFL debut of Sanders, who famously dropped all the way down to the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft before the Browns swooped in to take him with the 144th overall pick .
