A rapidly-growing brush fire broke out near Silverwood Lake in San Bernardino County on Saturday.It was first reported at around 4 p.m. near the recreation area located just south of Hesperia in the foothills of the San Bernardino Mountains,

Smiley Fire initially started 2:36 p.m. June 28 in San Bernardino County, California. Since its discovery 16 hours ago, it has burned 83 acres. A crew of 100 firefighters succeeded in containing 65% of the fire as of Sunday morning. The cause of it is still under investigation.

The Lake fire broke out in the Silverwood Lake State Recreation Area in San Bernardino County, burning more than 400 acres and prompting evacuations and road closures in the region.
