Two Milwaukee police officers were shot and have been critically injured after responding to a call for a person with a weapon late Thursday, police said.

A manhunt is underway after two police officers were shot in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Thursday night. Around 9:10 p.m., the officers were responding to a shots-fired call. As they approached, police said someone fired shots from an alley, in the 2200 block of North 24th Place, hitting both officers.
