The site in Hayward will be able to churn out 10,000 purpose-built robotaxis a year once it reaches full scale.

The 220,000-square-foot factory is located in Hayward, California near its Foster City headquarters. This is Zoox’s second production facility in the Bay Area, adding to the assembly warehouse in nearby Fremont.

Amazon's Zoox says its new Hayward factory is the first-ever purpose-built robotaxi serial production facility in the U.S., and once at full scale, it will have the capacity to assemble more than 10,000 robotaxis a year.
