Tesla stock rose Monday morning after CEO Elon Musk said Tesla should be able to invest in his xAI startup pending a shareholder vote. This would be another instance of the “Muskonomy” at play, where Musk’s companies become more financially intertwined,

Elon Musk on Monday said he does not support a merger between xAI and Tesla. On X, Musk suggested that Tesla plans to ask shareholders whether Tesla should invest in xAI, however. Musk owns X, xAI and Tesla and is contemplating the future business relationship between them all.
