Sixers lose 109-99 to Phoenix Suns despite Kelly Oubre Jr.’s best efforts

The 76ers were without their perennial All-Star center Joel Embiid, his backup Andre Drummond, and their wise elder statesman, Kyle Lowry. The trio’s absence combined with poor shooting led to a 109-99 loss to the Phoenix Suns on Monday night at the Wells Fargo Center.

Oubre missed Philadelphia's losses to the Sacramento Kings and the Golden State Warriors due to a left hand sprain and entered Saturday's matchup with the Nets as doubtful due to the injury. One has to wonder if this could be a long term thing for Oubre, but coach Nick Nurse squashed any concerns about that.
