Ahead of his team traveling to the Mile High City for their joint practice and Week 2 preseason game, Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon mentioned that the starters status will be decided on Thursday.

The Broncos and Cardinals had a joint practice Thursday. That will serve as the work those teams first-teamers get against another team this week. Broncos coach Sean Payton said both teams will rest most of their starters in Saturday night's preseason game.

The NFL can be put on trial over civil claims that Brian Flores and other Black coaches face discrimination, a federal appeals court ruled.

Lionel Taylor, an original Denver Bronco and a member of their Ring of Fame, has died, according to the team. Taylor, who was 89, died Aug. 6, his family confirmed to the Broncos. He was a member of the 1960 Broncos -- the first year the franchise played in the newly formed AFL -- and was the first receiver in either AFL or NFL history to have at least 100 receptions in a season.
