The National Weather Service is investigating after a tornado touched down on Wednesday in southern Minnesota, damaging some buildings in the process.

The blizzard of October 31st, 1991 is the event more people in the midwest talk and reminisce about than any other event in our history. Snow was falling as kids were out trick-or-treating and ended up accumulating to several feet throughout the state. In some areas, additional layers of ice also caused power outages and schools to remain closed.
