A 28-year-old was struck by lightning on a New Jersey golf course Tuesday, police in Hardyston said. Authorities responded to the Ballyowen Golf Course around 1:53 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a golfer hit by lightning, police said.

A lightning strike is the most likely cause of a barn fire that claimed the lives of eight horses in Massachusetts Tuesday night, according to fire officials.
