The Pickett Fire in California's Napa County grew Friday afternoon near Calistoga, reaching more than 3,000 acres, the largest fire in the Bay Area since last year.

The Pickett Fire, burning since Thursday afternoon near Calistoga, spurred new evacuation orders Saturday morning as the blaze continues to move east and challenge control lines, according to fire officials.

The Pickett Fire near Calistoga in Napa County, which reportedly threatened wineries and vineyards in the region, has consumed over 4,000 acres and prompted evacuation orders as of Saturday, Aug. 23. The blaze has grown to 4,690 acres and is 7% contained, according to a Cal Fire incident update as of 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 23.
