Canada’s government forced Air Canada and its striking flight attendants back to work and into arbitration Saturday after a work stoppage stranded more than 100,000 travelers around the world during the peak summer travel season.
The union representing 10,000 flight attendants at Canada’s biggest airline says its members will disobey a government order to return to work , putting plans to restart flights into jeopardy.
Here in the Bay Area, the Air Canada work stoppage left many summer travelers scrambling to re-book on other airlines after their flights were canceled.
