U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff was expected to arrive in Israel on Thursday in a bid to salvage Gaza ceasefire talks and tackle a humanitarian crisis in the Palestinian enclave, where a global hunger monitor has warned that famine was unfolding.

WASHINGTON (NEXSTAR) – President Donald Trump says he wants the fighting in Gaza and Ukraine to end. The president threatened tariffs against Russia if there’s no ceasefire in the next ten to 12 days and he says Israel’s president needs to let more food into Gaza as children and adults suffer from malnutrition.

Harish Parvathaneni said focus must shift to implementing a two-state solution. With hospitals destroyed & thousands injured, there is an urgent need for unhindered humanitarian aid, he added.
