One person is dead following an incident with a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) trooper at an Ocala hospital early Friday morning, according to police.
“A Florida Highway Patrol trooper was involved in a physical altercation with a suspect in custody, which resulted in FHP using deadly force,” Ocala police posted on Facebook. One person was killed in the incident, police said. No law enforcement officers or hospital staff members were injured.
