Trinity Rodman returned to the pitch with fireworks, scoring the game-winning goal in stoppage time, leading the Washington Spirit to a 2-1 victory against the Portland Thorns at Audi Field on Sunday.

The Thorns looked poised to steal a point on the road against the Spirit before Trinity Rodman delivered a crushing blow in her first appearance in nearly four months.

Rodman made put an exclamation on her return when she scored the game-winning goal for the Spirit in a big 2-1 win over Portland. Rodman played in just one game for the USWNT on April 5. Rodman scored about five minutes in and pretended to have a back injury as part of the goal celebration.
