Manchester United have reached an agreement in principle with RB Leipzig for Slovenia striker Benjamin Sesko in a deal that will take the club’s summer spending to £214m.

Manchester United have reached an agreement in principle with RB Leipzig for the signing of striker Benjamin Sesko. A deal worth €76.5million (£66.4m; $89.1m) and €8.5m in add-ons is in place, with Sesko given permission to travel for medical tests ahead of the proposed move.

However, if Sesko fails to cut the mustard at Man United and the Red Devils pay no more than the initial £66.3m for his services, he will be seventh on their all-time signings list, also behind fellow strikers Romelu Lukaku and Rasmus Hojlund.
