COLUMBUS, Ohio — Sophomore Julian Sayin will be Ohio State football’s starting quarterback vs. Texas, coach Ryan Day announced Monday. The decision came from Day after Sayin spent the offseason battling junior Lincoln Kienholz for the title of QB1.

OSU needs to go 10-2 or better for a CFP invite, which will require avoiding what would be considered huge upsets, and winning at least 1 of 3 against Texas, PSU, and tTUN. Being defending National Champs would have OSU at the top of the 3 loss P4 candidates, but I wouldn’t count on any 3 loss team getting a CFP invite.
