The president’s angry posts about the two major networks were made after he falsely claimed his poll numbers are the “highest” they’ve ever been.

President Trump on Sunday suggested news networks ABC and NBC were "AN ARM OF THE DEMOCRAT PARTY" and said he would be "in favor" of the Federal Communications Commission pulling their broadcast licenses.

License revocations are a lot more complicated than Trump makes them sound. The FCC doesn't issue licenses directly to networks such as CBS, NBC, or ABC. The FCC's licensing authority is over broadcast stations, although many of those stations are owned and operated by a big network.
