Chevy Silverado recall affects more than 62,000 4500/5500/6500 trucks. The vehicles are being recalled because a brake fluid leak could trigger a fire.

The recall affects certain 2019-2024 Chevrolet Silverado 4500HD, 5500HD and 6500HD medium-duty vehicles. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said the brake pressure sensor assembly may leak brake fluid into the brake pressure switch, causing an electrical short circuit.

General Motors is recalling 62,468 Silverado HD pickups over a fire risk stemming from a brake fluid leak risk, according to filings with the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration — but on the bright side, odds are good it won't affect you if you're just an everyday truck-loving enthusiast.
