As catastrophic flooding devastated parts of Central Texas over the July Fourth holiday, many Texans have been left grappling with loss, damage, and displacement.

A woman was assaulted near a business on South Jennings Street on Wednesday morning, and a suspect was arrested, according to Fort Worth police. Police were called to the 900 block of S. Jennings, on the city’s near south side, about 8:45 a.m.

Fort Worth Police urge support for Texas flood victims through donations, in collaboration with the Salvation Army and City of Kerrville.

One suspect has a violent criminal history including prior charges of murder and aggravated assault with a firearm.
