House Bill 1538, introduced June 2 by state Rep. Gary Day, R-Lehigh, would add large-caliber air rifles to the list of legal weapons allowed for taking game such as deer, bear and elk in the state.

Air rifles could be legalized for big game hunting in Pennsylvania if new legislation proposed by a local state representative becomes law.
