Two people have been evaluated for injuries after a Columbia-Richland fire truck collided with a tractor-trailer on Tuesday evening.

The fire truck driver, Joseph Mills, 26, told investigators he started to turn off his emergency lights when the ambulance began making the U-turn, police said.

The ambulance driver told investigators he began making the U-turn on U.S 35 but did not see the Center Township Fire Department truck approaching from his left, police said.
