A Florida couple has pleaded guilty on account of attempting to smuggle endangered Fischer Lovebirds into the United States through John F. Kennedy airport.

Brooklyn federal prosecutors say Robert Burgos and Vanessa Burgos tried smuggling a dozen Fischer Lovebirds into the country on a shipment to JFK Airport almost two years ago.
