USC has reportedly offered a multi-year deal to extend its annual series with Notre Dame, and there's optimism an agreement will come soon.

USC safety Jawanza made the biggest play Saturday night, an 80-yard return of a fumbled snap as the Trojans started strong and then held off Notre Dame for a 31-17 victory.

USC athletic director Jennifer Cohen recently said that she is hopeful about continuing the USC-Notre Dame rivalry past this year.

While Notre Dame has expressed its interest to keep the USC rivalry going, the Trojans have made an offer to keep it alive.

Caleb Williams, the only USC quarterback to beat Notre Dame since 2016, watched from the Trojans’ sideline. The Chicago Bears rookie’s No. 13 was formally retired during an in-game ceremony.

After public uproar over the potential end of their 100-year old football rivalry, USC has made an amended offer to Notre Dame.
