A fast-growing wildfire has burned hundreds of acres on the Navajo Nation, and officials are warning residents to be prepared to evacuate.

PHOENIX — Fire crews are currently fighting the Oak Ridge Fire, burning eight miles southwest of Window Rock. The fire started on Saturday, June 28 and has burned 6,292 acres, more than tripling in size over the last few days. Navajo Police Department officials have asked those in the path of the fire to evacuate.
