Belinda Bencic advanced to the semifinals in just her second Grand Slam since since returning from maternity leave, upsetting Mirra Andreeva through a pair of tiebreaks Wednesday at Wimbledon.

Belinda Bencic reached a first Wimbledon semi-final as she beat Mirra Andreeva in straight sets on Centre Court. Seventh seed Andreeva had been the firm favourite, with the 18-year-old up to this point not dropping a set on her impressive run to the quarter-finals.

It was a hard-fought match, but Belinda Bencic is advancing to the semifinal at Wimbledon. In an extremely tight match, Bencic upset No. 7 Mirra Andreeva in straight sets (7-6, 7-6) to advance at the tournament.
