The Toronto Blue Jays placed slugging outfielder George Springer on the 7-day concussion list Friday, four nights after he was hit in the head with a pitch. The move was made before Friday's game against the Kansas City Royals.

The Blue Jays star was struck in the ninth inning of a game Toronto lost 11-4 to the Orioles at Camden Yards on Monday night. It sent Springer down into the dirt almost immediately.
