An international crew of four astronauts had their planned launch to the International Space Station from Florida on Thursday postponed over bad weather, delaying a mission that had been watched by a rare gathering of senior Russian space officials in town for a meeting with NASA's acting chief.

NASA and SpaceX successfully launched four astronauts to the International Space Station on Friday. The Crew-11 mission took off at 11:43 a.m. from Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center. Friday’s launch comes after weather forced SpaceX to scrub the launch on Thursday with 1 minute to go.
