The Grandaddy of Them All was the most-watched of them all. The Oregon Ducks’ disheartening 41-21 defeat to the Ohio State Buckeyes in the Rose Bowl drew an average of 21.1 million viewers and reached a peak of 24.

The Oregon Ducks and Ohio State Buckeyes had a large viewing audience for their Rose Bowl matchup in the College Football Playoff Quarterfinals on ESPN. It was the most watched non-NFL American sporting event since last year's national championship.

If Oregon-Ohio State II lives up to the hype of their first matchup, then it will eclipse any Rose Bowl rematch that has come before it.
