Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and others reacted to the removal of the rainbow crosswalk outside the Pulse nightclub, the site of a massacre in 2016.

Those include several new mural crosswalks added throughout downtown last year in hope of increasing visibility of crossings for pedestrians, as well as the Thornton Park swan-adorned crosswalk.

Communities across Florida are deciding whether to comply or defy the orders from the state after this week's removal of an Orlando rainbow crosswalk.
