Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic nominee for New York City mayor, has rocketed past his rivals in fundraising, bringing in a little more than $1 million in recent weeks, according to new campaign reports filed Friday.

Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic socialist who won his party’s nomination in June against former state governor Andrew Cuomo, pulled in almost double the funds of his nearest rivals for the New York City mayoral race between early July and mid-August.

Socialist Zohran Mamdani significantly outraised both former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and incumbent Mayor Eric Adams in the latest fundraising file for the New York City mayoral election, which is less than three months away.
