The United States and China have agreed on a framework to implement their trade truce, officials on both sides said Wednesday, after concluding two days of talks in London to defuse tensions and ease export restrictions that threaten to disrupt global manufacturing.

High-level delegations from the United States and China are meeting in London to try and shore up a fragile truce in a trade dispute that has roiled the global economy.

The companies said they would launch public-road trials of fully autonomous vehicles in the U.K. capital as part of Uber’s pans to bring the technology to Europe.

Uber on Tuesday said it was launching a self-driving pilot in London, which it said was the largest market it’s targeted.

Uber will trial robotaxis - autonomous cars with no human safety driver at the wheel - in London next spring. The ride-hailing app will work with the UK artificial intelligence (AI) firm Wayve, which has been testing out the technology on the city's streets with human oversight,
