Attorneys for Bryan Kohberger, the man accused of killing four University of Idaho students in 2022, won’t be able to identify specific alternate suspects in his trial, narrowing their options to defend their client.

In a series of final rulings ahead of Bryan Kohberger's capital murder trial, Judge Steven Hippler said lawyers for the man who could be executed, if convicted, won't be permitted to present to the jury the theory that some unknown person is the real killer.

Bryan Kohberger's defense team sought to point fingers at four other people during the murder trial set to begin in August.
