Dodgers call up No. 3 prospect Freeland; Kim (shoulder) hits IL
The Dodgers promoted infielder Alex Freeland, their No. 3 prospect and MLB Pipeline's No. 35 overall prospect, ahead of Tuesday night's game against the Reds. In a corresponding move, fellow infielder Hyeseong Kim was placed on the 10-day injured list with left shoulder bursitis.
After some initial rumblings, the Dodgers have placed their promising rookie infielder on IL with shoulder bursitis.
He reported to the park Monday no worse for the wear, so Kim will take back a spot in the starting nine as the Dodgers open a three-game set in Cincinnati.
