DETROIT (FOX 2) - Detroit Police are still trying to figure out why suspect fired around 100 shots into a crowd wounding three, one fatally, during a funeral reception. Neighbor John Smith was sitting on his porch when he heard the hundred shots ring out Monday night from Latham Park during a repass.

Detroit police are searching for the person who fired shots during a gathering in the city’s east side Monday evening.

A Redford Township woman was shot and injured early Tuesday on Interstate 96 in Detroit, Michigan State Police said. Dispatchers received a call at about 12:15 a.m. reporting there was a gunshot victim at a McDonald's restaurant on Grand River Avenue near I-96, according to authorities.

A teenager is dead after a shooting on Detroit's east side Friday night. Sgt. Daron Zhou with the Detroit Police told CBS News Detroit that the teen was shot on Eastwood Street. Circumstances surrounding the shooting are unknown, and officials haven't said whether any arrests have been made.

Michigan State Police are investigating a shooting reported Tuesday night on Interstate 94 in Romulus that left two people injured. At 11:20 p.m., the Detroit Regional Communication Center received a 911 call from a person who said they were traveling east on I-94, near Wayne Road, and that both in their car had been shot, according to MSP.

Four people were shot, including the suspect, at an apartment complex Monday night on Detroit's east side, according to police.

After the suspect shot three people, he was tackled. It was his ex-girlfriend who picked up the gun and shot him in the thigh, police say.

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Three people were shot Monday evening at Latham Park on Detroit's east side during a repass gathering. Two women in their mid-20s were rushed to the hospital and are currently in stable condition, according to police. The third victim, 26-year-old Daniel Avery, was fatally shot.
