A semi-truck and a train collided north of Gilroy early Monday morning, authorities said. The crash did not cause any major injuries, according to a social media post from the Santa Clara County Fire Department.

A pedestrian died Saturday morning after he was struck by a train in Fresno. Authorities said the collision happened at 5:40 a.m. near Blackstone and McKinley avenues when a BNSF train was going southbound and struck the pedestrian. Officers performed CPR on the pedestrian, who was taken to the hospital but died on the way, Fresno Police said.
